Strange interface between support and actual print

Greetings!

I have just recently started making my own 3D printed models, and would like to ask for some help identifying what's the issue with my print.

There are strange patterns on all my prints where support structures were added (see picture below). The location where the support meets the print, there are uneven swirling patterns; the surrounding areas also have very large separation between layers (likely due to them being overhang walls). The overall print apart from these regions have very good quality, so I am pretty sure this is not supposed to happen...

These being my first batch of prints, I am quite unfamiliar with how support parameters should be set. From what I can gather, this seems to occur regardless of what type of support I am using, or how many interface layers I use. In the photo above, the one on the left used regular rectangular supports with 2 interface layers, while the right one used tree supports with 5 layers; both ended up having the same swirling pattern at the interface.

Another possible parameter to tweak is the "top interface spacing" which by default is set to 0.5mm. I am currently printing another one using 0.2mm spacing, and increased wall layer from 2 to 3.

I am quite frankly at a loss, not even knowing where to start looking. If anyone has encountered similar issues before, may I ask how you managed to fix it? What kind of parameters should I be setting? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The printer I am using is Bambu Lab's X1 Carbon. Material is PLA, printed at "0.20mm Standard"; all temperature and speed settings are at default value. I've only changed the support type, the support interface layer, and the interface spacing.

Thank you in advance!
