Are AI agents actually useful for work yet or still more hype than help?

AI agents make more sense to me when they can actually finish a small workflow instead of just giving advice. Things like finding information, updating a task, preparing a report or moving something between tools without needing you to handle every step.

That’s where I think agents could become really useful at work. The downside is I still wouldn’t want one making important decisions on its own. Are you using any AI agents in your workflow yet?
