GPU not responding
I am lost and a bit (a lot) distraught.
Pretty much did everything to try and find a solution to no avail.
Had my 7900xtx for about 5 months now and never had a single issue regarding display and consistency, until now.
While playing God of War Ragnarok my screen suddenly went black but i kept hearing the game in my headsets for about 20 seconds, noticing it wasn't the game that crashed due to undervolting since I didn't return to my desktop I force restarted the PC ; my screen however didn't detect the GPU when turning it back on.
So I plugged an HDMI cable into the mobo to make my PC post and it did, turned it back off and reinstalled the GPU, it worked and the PC is now posting through the graphics card. But it takes a while for the the screen to find it through DP2 cycling through all other display modes for a little under a minute ; I then updated my graphics drivers through the AMD website.
Once in I checked for my GPU utilization only to see it used at 0 percent, opened GPU-Z and it's the same thing, MSI afterburner detects the card but once again shows no usage whatsoever and Task Manager doesn't even detect the card.
So then I go into BIOS to turn off completely the usage of my CPU's integrated graphics, still nothing.
I'm always careful of my hardware usage and temps, while playing the GPU indicated temps of 70c and 82c at the memory, my fan curve is quite aggressive to keep everything cool and controlled.
If there is anyone who can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated, I am more than happy to provide more information if needed.
