What capabilities does the installer have for a new fiber install?
I am having fiber installed at my house and I am wondering how much control they have in routing the cable to a specific location. I don't know their process.
I found a previous post mentioning that they can bore under a driveway. What about boring under the house into the crawlspace? There is a small brick wall with a slightly raised soil that has bushes right by my house so they can't really just use a shovel once they get close to my house
If they can't do that, will they route the fiber up the siding and into the attic where I can fish it down the wall in my desired room?
Do I need to have an existing cutout in the wall for them? Does their fiber connect to a typical wall plate looking thing similar to an Ethernet port? I know it's not Ethernet, but would it be a wall plate similar in function where they have the incoming fiber inside the wall and an open port outside of the wall for the jumper fiber to connect to the router?
