Using AirMesage on old iMac, is the new certificate error causing AirMessage can't be reached error?

I've been using AirMessage on an iMac possibly from 2012 or so fine but now it's giving me cannot connect to server error, but I restarted and resigned in on the server itself and it's not working. Is everyone having issues?
