Do people play with wallers as spotters?

Was dead still biding my time to extract in the office in B building at Northridge, I was in the safe room within the office room but somehow these people found me. Didn't see a Pulse Scan at all, just started chucking nades in the room and got rushed. The other guy spamming nades didn't shoot and seemed to have walls and acted as a spotter while the other guy rushed to kill me.
