Is there a way to get bloodwork done without having to pay a consultation fee to the GP for the referral?

I’ve gotten referrals from my insurance’s telephone doctor service before, but for some reason they won’t give it anymore.

The GP I have is garbage and is only invalidating anything I tell him. I know I need to find another GP, but in the meantime, I would like to get bloodwork done and do not want to pay him a full consultation fee to get a letter that I can take to the hospital for a free blood test. (I don’t mind reports going back to him)

Is there a workaround for this?
