Men, how do you resist the bad guys, fight the bad guys, without BECOMING the bad guys?

Violence always has a cost, and that cost tends to be more or less shared by all those who experience it, witness it, or commit it.

So, how do you defend yourself and others, how do you stand up to the bully, or the dictator, and not become the bully or dictator yourself?
