a "stop resisting" ban evasion?

You're all mods, you probably can see my karma history. The sub I have 2nd most karma in has perma-banned me, and it seems like a needless escalation.

I had an intellectually-honest-disagreement with someone and we were debating. I'm pretty upstanding in this sub, and in reddit overall (you can take a look)

- As the other person ran out of gas, they started with the "sorry you're taking it so personally" and reported my post - Mod mail told me "You are trolling! 3day ban!" - I replied by PM to the effect of "please explain why that is 'trolling' ... I have no history of such behavior, please reconsider" - I went to review the exchange, since IDK what could be construed as 'trolling'... to find the posts were unviewable - I did not realize that the posts had been removed - I asked my partner to view the same thread (we have 1 computer at home) to find out what the problem was, and I read the rest of the thread

Next day:

- Mod messaged me "You are temporarily muted" - Mod message: did not answer my question + "We have found you to be guilty of ban evasion!!" - Mod message: you are now permanently banned

so WTF ? I don't understand why i was even 3day banned. Don't understand why permabanned. Don't understand what constitutes "ban evasion" or what that entails.

After the 3day temp ban, I did not message anyone, did not post to that sub. What is going on here.
