Ferritin deficiency and asthma

I have ferritin deficiency, all my other iron levels are normal. I am coming off a major flare up of my asthma. My ferritin is at 20, which isn’t good. So I’m going to need an iron infusion.

I am wondering if there are any other asthmatics who have an iron deficiency and asthma and if you think low iron’s levels exacerbated your asthma.

I know my ferritin deficiency didn’t cause my asthma as I’ve fad asthma since 1972 and the deficiency since 2000.
