Global 1940 2nd edition, differences.

I have some questions about Global 1940 2nd edition. I have tried googling, I have checked wikipedia, and searched in here but not found a complete explanation.

Me and some friends played quite a lot of 1942 for a couple of years, excitingly waiting for the Global version when it was anounced, which we bought right as it were available. And enjoyed. By all means, that was first edition.

Years went by, and we just now started again, mixing slightly from 2nd edition rules found on the web, and broken rulebooks in our box while discussing and re-remembering rules and details.

So, what is the difference really? Is it *just* updates on rules? I noticed you can buy a new game, where it says 2nd edition on the front, which seems kind of excessive, if they just updated a few notes on the paper in the box.

Anything else I should know/consider before starting using 2nd edition rules?
