Well that was an interesting glitch...

I had picked up the >!Cursed Idol the previous day to successfully ascend the throne!<.

I started the next day >!expecting my steps to be dropped to 13!<. Sure enough, they >!immediately started dropping as the day started!<.

BUT, >!I didn't wait for that to finish, and immediately hit Tab, to check my inventory and make sure I still had the scepter. Imagine my surprise when it listed my steps as 70 on that screen, despite also showing the curse active. I figured it would switch back to 13 when I exited the houseplan screen, but nope. I somehow had managed to start my cursed day with a full count of steps.!<
