How do you guys think the December update will go?

So I use ai for 2 things mainly, help make my emails look more professional, and for text based adventures (TBA’s) that are Dungeons and Dragons like. And as you know from the guardrails and all that shit thats been happening, text based adventures are out the window, so I switched to Grok.

I’ll be honest with y’alls, my OC in these TBA’s is female and always prompted chatgpt to have a dark, mature, and as realistic as possible theme to the story even if it’s sci fi or fantasy, and of course there will be times that there will be “boinking” and fighting/violence as well. You all know how that will go these days.

Unfortunately although Grok is very uncensored its writing style as well as memory retention is very meh. And even though I use “Expert”, Grok can sometimes like give a response where it’s like referring to a section of the story many many responses ago. I shall give an example:

Lets say there’s a scene in the tavern and i am given 4 options A B C D for what happens next. Then lets say maybe 20 responses later I am now fighting goblins or bandits or whatever, and I tell grok I choose option D to cast fireball - as a response to this it will suddenly be like “you choose option D to buy a drink from the barkeep at the tavern” and then continue back to the tavern scene.

That is incredibly annoying, but its storytelling style and capabilities are not on the level of ChatGpt.

So with that context in mind, here is my question: do you guys think the december update could at least restore chatgpt to its former creative writing abilities that were available to us in 3.1-4.1? Do you guys think its worth waiting for or should we just find other alternatives at this point?

If its the alternative option, may I humbly ask for suggestions on which AI you guys are using that give amazing storytelling quality and doesn’t mind nsfw scenes?

Or I may also be using Grok wrong. What model do you guys use for storytelling? Fast, Expert, or auto, and how do you ensure it doesn’t fuck it up?
