John Mellencamp

So, I won tickets through a local Philly radio station to the John Mellencamp show at the Miller Theater. I was never a big fan, but I always appreciated his music. Pounding rock and roll with good, thoughtful lyrics. He’s good at what he does.

Let me tell you, it was a great show. Sponsored by The Movie Channel, which may seem strange, but the show opens with classic movie clips, and then John tells how these movies affected him growing up in a “Small Town” in Indiana.

Two hours of music with all the hits. John still has his great gravelly voice and the band is tight.

Still some shows in the NE and Midwest. All small halls. Go see him if you get a chance.
