My Eberron Campaign

Hey all, im just here fishing for some ideas to help with my home written Eberron campaign. I really didn't like the heavy noire theme to the one in the setting book and wanted a more traditional BBEG, so after extensive reading through the 3.5e material and Keith's blog, I finally settled on a thematic and cool idea.

I dove straight into the deepest spot of the pond, and am using Quori as my main villains to the story. I was rather naive (this is my first time DM'ing) and allowed a player to make a Kalashtar character (sigh). There is also a Warforged Artificer in the party, and so we decided for his backstory he is part of a secret project that kept producing Warforged after the Mourning and the Treaty. I have plans to translate the Psiforged from 3.5e because he is one of the first made, but somehow escaped from the facility he was being created in.

My backstory for the cause of the Mourning is that House Cannith was attempting a massive magical ritual using psychic energy stored in some sort of magical batteries, and was trying to link to Dal Quor and channel Quori into Psiforged bodies they were creating, to give them autonomous vessels to use on the material realm. However something went horribly wrong with said ritual, resulting in the Mourning. Then they went into clandestine operation and continued to refine the Psiforged creation process, with the intent to attempt something similar again in the future.

It's been a bit of a struggle to try to tie all these threads together, so if anyone has suggestions, knows of a book that could help me out, or anything; i would love to hear it!
