Here is why suicide ganking is bad for new player retention rates
[This](https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198175645727/recommended/8500/) is the most helpful review of Eve Online in the last 30 days on Steam. I know...."eewww, who cares about Steam!", right? Not the point of this post though. Even though writer mentions other things like blackout(I do like the blackout though), you can see how many people who tried the game simply quit because of suicide ganking, which would be considered as "griefing" in any other game yet accepted as standard and regular by Eve players. There are maybe thousands of players who first sees Eve Online in their recommendations on Steam and proceeds to read the reviews first before even trying and makes up his mind to never touch it or simply try it and quit after some random group suicide ganks his first hard-earned mining ship.
Now I am not saying high sec should be safe. All I am saying that maybe it is too easy to suicide gank someone. Maybe an adjustment should be made to respond times of Concord, or repercussions should be harsher. There should be a valid reason of wanting to suicide gank someone in high sec, other than simply wanting to be an asshole to a random person or just for shits and giggles.
