Celebrating my 3rd "Pink-free" Christmas!
...and it's the 3rd year my MIL has been in a nursing home. I'm not a girly-girl. I just wear jeans and a tee. I love blue. Every year for X-mas my MIL would buy me a pink tee or shirt or sweater and one year even a hoodie (I love hoodies). Luckily I have a sister that loves pink and wears pink almost everyday. It became a joke as to what pink thing I would be passing along to my sister.
I guess clothes are a nice practical gift. I like practical. If it weren't pink, but it's better than the lovely Lenox serving dish I got one year. The only reason I got the Lenox is because there was a chip and it was discounted. Did I mention she has close to a million in assets. Then there was the year I got a knife set. After 2-3 cut fingers, I told my DUH I think MIL is trying to kill me one digit at a time. He thought it was a funny joke, except, I wasn't joking.
God I hope I outlive her!
