A request for the Last Epoch community

Almost two weeks out now from launch, and I know many of my friends and I are excited to dive in and play together. One of my friends has been playing for years, many of us just started the last few weeks, and several more will be picking the game up for the first time at launch.

I know, as with any game launch, there are going to be a lot of questions, and a lot of attention on the game. Many of those curious folks and their questions are going to end up on Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Steam, and pretty much anywhere else people gather.

I would ask and encourage everyone to remember this is going to be many peoples first interaction with the game and broader community. Please consider being patient with folks, and kind in your responses. The longevity of a game, especially for smaller studios/games, relies in part on their communities. It can become disheartening if the responses you receive are negative and critical, especially to those who are searching for information in earnest and may simply not be as skilled or adept in finding answers as others.

So please, in the coming days, take a moment to consider your response. If nothing else, remember that no one person is responsible for responding to every single question posed, and that maybe opting out of responding at all may be the best course. Ultimately, it may well preserve your mental just as much as it would theirs.

Just a thought. I wish you all a bug free and exciting launch for you and your friends alike and am excited to see you all in game (likely in the trade faction).
