One of the problems we don’t talk about
October marks my third year of long covid. This year I finally got in with an expert at Mayo, which really helped. I also moved out of an apartment that was a 4th floor walk up with intermittent issues with the ac into a new place with an elevator which was game changer.
This year has been the best of my LC years for my health. For the first time in years, I have hope that I might be able to regain a normal-ish life someday.
But it has been the absolute worst year for my finances. My business is struuuuuuuuuggling. My expenses are for a thriving business. The disconnect between income and expenses is abysmal.
I woke up to one of my accounts several hundred dollars in the negative. I was able to move a few things around to fix it, but after having to do that shuffle for so long, something has to change. I won’t be able to do that again, and yet the bills keep coming.
I have a strong track record of getting through and landing on my feet and I keep trying to remember that. I have some stuff I’m going to try to sell off and hopefully make a little bit back.
I’m finally starting to feel like I have a little energy to reinvest in my business but my LC includes hyperadrenergic pots and stressing makes everything harder.
But also, I went for a 20 minute walk last night to watch the moonrise over the lake. Six months ago, that would have been impossible. I’m really trying to stay grounded in gratitude.
But I’m tired, y’all. I’m tired.
