SBMM or Matchmaking Based on Time Played Needed

(TLDR: This is a live service game that requires numbers to continue existing and being updated. Some changes are needed so more casual players don't feel cheated. Matchmaking edits would benefit everyone, and it doesn't have to be all or nothing or SBMM.)

Edit: I love the game and am happy with it. Just concerned. Wanted to be clear this isn't coming from an active complainer.

I've been noticing what others are saying and how people are describing their experience. It's been said but SBMM isn't the only solution, based on time played is also a good metric.

Alternatively, base it on upgrades etc. Still allow a chance for matches where you are under geared comparatively (to feel more authentic). Without some more targeted matchmaking too many folks will have difficulties or displeasures with the game. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, some variation can still exist.

Some people simply have less time to play or play other games as well. They are naturally going to fall behind dramatically. The more time the game is up per season, the bigger the disparity. The amount of people encountering only stronger teams is a little too much for retention.

I can see how people don't like this change potentially but if you like the game, this is for the better. Otherwise the game may not remain, this is a live service game. It needs numbers or it won't be seen as worth keeping up.
