Car will coast but not accelerate.

Hey guys, I drive a 2013 Toyota Rav4 and I just started having this problem tonight. A person asked a friend and me to give their car a jump in the parking lot of the restaurant we ate at. Turns out that they put the cables on the wrong terminals and it killed my car. We fixed the cables and got my car started again, but I noticed my check engine light was on and I discovered that nothing happened when I pressed the gas pedal. The car will coast, but pressing the gas does literally nothing. It doesn't make a noise or anything. I have zero clue on what the problem can be and I would love some advice.
