Is crazy how everyone likes Emmure out of nowhere.

I was just listening to MDMA. Emmure is one of my favorite bands and throughout the past decade they’ve been hated like crazy, which I haven’t seen in any other band in the scene. Now, out of nowhere, everyone likes them. I have to admit that while I wasn’t hating, the hate kept me away from them for a long time until I decided to listen to their music when they dropped Look At Yourself and I have been a hardcore fan ever since.

I get it, some lyrics are stupid and/or unnecessary. However, the music is amazing. When they get serious (and even melodic and angsty) this band literally shines. Also when Frankie apologized for a bunch of shit he’s done in the past I gained mad respect for him as a person. It takes a pair of big nuts to realize and accept how much of a piece of shit you have been. I’ve been there too and it takes a big fuck up with something or someone to come to that conclusion.

Anyone here had the same experience where they just discovered them not long ago and realized how much of a solid band they are or is it just me?
