We tell Moms they should ask for help..

But when they do they're criticized.

My neighbor is suffering from a bad bout of depression and couldn't get her kids from school. So when she asked for help I gladly obliged.

Her husband dogged her out for reaching out. The man can't drive, but gave her no help to find alternative solutions.

My husband didn't say anything directly to me, but he wasn't super friendly to her when she walked over to take them home. I offered to keep them so she would have more time to herself. She hugged me and said no without looking in my husband's direction.

And society wonders why more women/moms don't reach out. If we are gonna be dismissed or treatly weirdly, why bother?
