Anyone know how long it takes for Oceanus' pets to mature enough to lay eggs?

Right now they are around 42h old and I always assumed it would be 24h.

I know some players have had them lay eggs but I wasn't even expecting to be able to, so it wouldn't surprise me if they can't.

Edit: I have been doing some testing by manipulating the day the creatures were born. The answer, at least for the pets from Oceanus appears to be four days.

Edit 2: My pets were able to lay after 3 1/2 days.
