Is Anyone Else Disappointed With How Oda Writes Robin?

Robin was my absolute favorite character when she was introduced. The episode where she joins the crew is in my opinion one of the best in the anime (though vivi's farewell helps immensely). She was so cool, so mysterious, so intelligent, and so powerful. But then....

I worry part of the problem stems from her backstory. I worry about this because her backstory is amazing, one of the best of the crew. But by having the destruction of 8 ships when she was 8 a fabrication, she was instantly nerfed. And then she started getting less and less powerful. She's cool, but now it's in a very bland way (though I do appreciate her bizarre thought processes), quite unlike the dangerous cool of the early Robin. And while she is intelligent, that intelligence is never used much for strategizing, like sanji's is.

I just worry that in such an expansive universe, Oda has just forgotten about her. I'm right now in the middle of punk hazard (switched to the manga), but what people say about Robin from here on out make me even more worried. I'm having trouble getting caught up all the way without the motivation of seeing one of my favorite characters really blossom and commit badassery like she used to. Like, she doesn't even have a 1-on-1 for me to look forward to?

I'm just disappointed. I think a similar thing happened to Nami, and happened to Tashigi from almost the beginning. Does it get better?

(NOTE: I have no distaste for spoilers whatsoever, so as long as the mods and rules are fine with it, say whatever you want)
