No more Ancients past wave 1k?

So I just recently was able to down Shapeshifter, and was able to proceed a bit past wave 1300. Unfortunately, instead of a repeat of the Ancients, I got Boss Slimes at waves 1100, 1200, and 1300, with no additional Aspects granted. This is a bit of a shame, as it means the most optimal farming is to just down Shapeshifter and then reset.

Are there plans to make it so Ancients repeat past wave 1k?
