Parenting a toddler is not necessarily what I expected
I have a 13 month old.
Expectation: My life would be dominated by playing, teaching, keeping her alive and in one piece. Maybe cleaning, picking up toys, laundry.
Reality: Food.
So much food. Usually a bottle in the very early morning hours, then around 7-8-ish breakfast, 10-10:30 "snack" (more like a mini-meal), 12-12:30 lunch, 2-3 "snack", 5-6 dinner. Planning, making or ordering at just the right time to be ready as she gets hungry, eating (sometimes so. slowly.), cleaning up, putting away leftovers, cleaning dropped food off the floor, keeping her water bottle filled, ordering groceries, running dishes, handwashing bottles and little bowls and sippy bottles and brezza parts. And making so many cups of coffee in between (for myself). I've never spent so much time thinking about food in my life.
