Just bought a desktop trying to keep wife happy

So my wife and I have been using a laptop for like 6 years now and it’s time to retire it. I missed my old ass desktop that served double duty as a gaming pc and media center to watch movies, tv, or game on our main tv. But I want to keep my wife happy who enjoyed the portability in the house of the laptop. Is there any kind of wireless monitor/keyboard that I can connect to the desktop to function basically as a laptop inside the house?
