'You can just turn on the space heater'
Massive con for living in a place that requires constant heating, and/or a building with irregular heating distribution : space heaters SUCK.
Even those that turn on/off automatically don't do it correctly nor measure the temperature correctly, and they make the air so damn bone dry it's just annoying and makes your skin feel dried out and chalky. The room is ice freezing cold, so you turn on a space heater, then wake up to the room being hotter than the surface of the sun and as dry as the Atacama desert.
'Just open a window and then turn on a humidifier. Then once it gets cold, turn on the space heater' ok, then that also comes with some slight, but still annoying problems, constantly having to adjust the temperature/humidity of a room just to be comfortable existing in it.
