Pixel Watch sensor data reading issue - looking for technical insight

Hi r/PixelWatch,

I'm working on a Wear OS project that relies on reading wrist gestures via sensors. It works perfectly on Galaxy and OnePlus watches, but multiple users have reported that gestures are completely ignored specifically on Pixel Watches.

Is there some specific system-level battery optimization or sensor permission on Pixel Watches (especially on Wear OS 4/5) that blocks background apps from reading accelerometer/gyroscope data?

I don't own a Pixel Watch to check the logs myself. I created a small test build with a live sensor radar to see if the watch is even granting sensor access. If anyone is willing to help me debug this technical issue by installing it and telling me what the radar shows, please let me know. I'd really appreciate the help!
