General question for PTU players

As a newbie soon-to-be player, I’m having some trouble selecting a starting pokemon. The character that I want to play will be created around said starter, although I’m leaning into professor or Ace. I was thinking of Blipbug as my starter, but I’m sort of flip-flopping on it.

What are some solid pokemon that you may suggest as starter pokemon, that are fairly easy/fun to play?
