Safariland 6354RDSO for open emitters?

Just ordered a Safariland 6354RDSO for a Glock 45. It’s legit. But I just heard of the Alien Gear Rapid Force Level 3 holsters. The Rapid Force is appealing b/c I’m planning on getting an RMR for my Glock and it might be nice to have the protection of the hood.

Anybody have an RDSO and, if so, does it offer enough protection if I wanna run an open emitter optic as opposed to the Rapid Force?

(Not even considering the 6354RDS holster)
