So if Ice Age Boiling Point is seemingly ignoring the events of 4, 5, and Buck Wild, would a third installment for Rio end up ignoring the second film?

Thought it would come up looking at the recent teaser released for Ice Age Boiling Point where so far it has a minimalist cast back down to how it all was from the third film with the original voice actors returning and no other indication of acknowledging the events from the last three films including no known other returning characters or cast members.

So would in fact in a way if Rio 3 is likely next since I believe 20th Century Animation could be taking it slow to bring back both of the Blue Sky Studios IPs. Would at least a third film go back to basics like how Boiling Point is doing? Like at least fixing back up the characters to how they were in the first film and improve upon them, ignore what happened back once Jewel was back with her tribe, and what not?
