Video content and external links

I am a high end cinematographer and editor who has quite a bit of content to share from projects that fall in numerous niches. For instance, air to air drone cinematography, conservation and land trust work, etc.

I am trying to share some small case studies and blog posts. They all have high end video associated with them relevant to the niche they were shot in.

I have my website with both general pages and blog/journal section.

What are some places that make a difference sharing this content as a link to a site page where my primary video media lives?

I have read that Reddit has a "nofollow" element in their linking but that it still may indirectly affect SEO authority and ranking in the long run.

Are there other networking or "social" media sites that perform better in relation to authority metrics for sharing video content embedded in my site directly?
