More sprinter issues.

How is it really this bad?

So our 2022 sprinter was in the shop with less than 50k miles, due to yet another emissions issue, after waiting a week we get a call that it's ready.

They promised they double checked everything and it's good to go.

I get there and it's definitely not, check engine light is on, and it's in limp mode. Which is worse than when we dropped it off. It was supposed to just get a new egr valve, but they said it actually needed a pipe and cooler and a few other things but not an egr valve, even though the code came back for egr valve circuit A.

Also while it was in there they recommended over 14k in services they claim are all past due.

How can anyone run a business in a sprinter without needing at least 3 maybe 4 sprinters per person? 1 in use, 1 on stand by, 1 in the shop waiting to be looked at, and 1 in the process of being repaired.

Our 2015 is amazingly reliable, only having needed an engine, but our 2022 seems to be an absolute nightmare, literally needing to have something done on it every 1000 miles or 2 weeks whichever comes first.

The engine already has oil consumption issues and it can't be left running any longer than absolutely necessary as it burns over a quart of oil every week(not covered under warranty on a basically new vehicle).
