HOLY TRINITY SPYRO IS THE ONLY SPYRO!!! THERE CAN BE ONLY THREE ALL OTHERS WILL PERISH!!!1

Hey this is a cool community that I really didn't know existed. You all seem to truly love this little purple guy like I have for year and years. As someone who plays one of the original games at least once a year, the idea of playing the others weirds me out. I attempted the first A new Beginning spyro and just couldn't get into it. The combat just seemed off and I think I was too mad that my favorite platformer was just turned into a beat em up. Are any of the other games worth getting into? Or should I just wallow in my nostalgia filth for all eternity never to experience anything that came out after I was 10?
