Wanting to make an image of turbulent clouds clashing

A few days ago I saw a beautiful landscape image of a contrasty sky with red and black clouds apparently fighting for dominance. No prompt was given. OP said something about a finely balanced prompt and it was one of a handful of images. I've spent about an hour trying to find it and can't.

Can anyone suggest how to create something similar? My attempts so far have been wishy-washy and usually have red and black clouds rather than red clouds and black clouds!
