One month ago Kenny G groveled before the CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management - Strapped for liquidity Mayo man?
**Preface:**
Today as I was watching some dank YouTube content, a peculiar video popped up in my feed:
“Kenneth Griffin - CEO of Citadel | Podcast | In Good Company | Norges Bank Investment Management”
The podcast in question is hosted by none other than Nicolai Tangen, the CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management.
For those who don’t know who the fuck that man or WTF the *Norges Bank Investment Management* is, I’d wager you’re not alone - but they are a BIG PLAYER in wealth management.
**As I’m writing this, the funds market value is listed as: 17 410 950 XXX XXX NOK**
That’s right, that’s 17 000 billion Norwegian kroner - or 1 590 billion dollars. This fund is a *market mover*
It also owns $GME.
**Now for the raison d'etre of this post:**
As someone whose studied psychology, and generally find mentally ill people fascinating, I’ve found that a solid indicator of how close we are to MOASS is what I like to call:
“The narcissists decent into pathetic groveling indicator”
You see, pathological narcissists are super attached to their ego - one might argue they are inseparable from their ego, as it’s the ego’s complete overshadowing that leads to their pathology. They worship their idealized version of themselves to such a degree, loosing it is akin to loosing themselves and the faith in God in one fell swoop.
Therefore, you can tell a lot about the narcissists hand by how much in tune with their own narrative they are able to play it - it’s torture for them not to command the respect and adoration of the room and, as in their mind every room exists *for them*.
Now back to the video and why it’s relevant:
Apart from looking like he’s garnering a blues the depth and cold that all the Florida sun in the world can mitigate, Kenneth is obviously reading from a script. Mayo is exclusively staring of screen and (poorly/desperatly) trying to deliver a “pitch” of himself and Citadel when answering the low key questions from Nicolai (who’s wearing a pleated suit and headset for reference).
It’s obvious from the cadence, mannerisms and general tone that Kenneth Cordele Griffin - the big shot, owner and CEO of Citadel - is not in control. He’s practically groveling before Nicolai Tangen, who’s obviously perplexed by this.
You gotta be quite desperate as a pathological narcissist of Kenny G’s caliber when stooping to such lows.
If not for the fact that he’s a financial terrorist of the first degree - I’d actually felt bad for the sod.
We are close.
