Does Lara canonically own a Game Boy?

I've been playing through the original game again and I noticed the obvious Game Boy used for the controls option. As I thought about it, I liked the idea of Lara having one of those, whatever time she was set in. Classic or LAU could easily have just bought one in stores in 1996 and I especially like the thought if Survivor Lara tracking an original down at a retro store. And that's what she does when she's not raiding, training, or doing research (e.g. on a long flight) and she approaches it with the same zeal as her day job.
