How to jam my Thermostat

Hi, my roommates keep putting the thermostat at dumb high temperatures (76-80) because they do not want to wear anything but underwear when home, and talking to them has had 0 change.

So I wanted to know if there is anyway i can set the thermostat to 70 and jam it so that i can sleep without sweating my balls off :)
