I could use a little guidance on a WearOS watch

Hi,

I'm in the market for a WearOS watch. I've just started researching them but there are way more on the market that I was aware of and I'm not sure which ones are reliable (besides Galaxy and Pixels). I'm going on a trip to Japan early next year and was looking for a watch that has good interactivity with Google Maps. I'll be going with a large family group along with my kids so I'd rather not have my head buried in my phone when using maps. My main needs go as followed: 1. Good interactivity with Google Maps (notifications/vibrations when upcoming turns are about to happen)

2. Reliable notifications when I get a text .

3. Ideally I'd like to stay sub $150 but can go to $200 if need be.

4. All the fitness tracking stuff isn't a big deal to me but an accurate step counter would be a plus.

My phone is a Pixel 7 Pro if that helps for connectivity issues. Any help on which brands fits my needs best would be great or even brands to avoid. Thanks in advance for any help.
