Exempt console application to open in default terminal
I've switched Windows's default terminal application to *"Let Windows decide"* which then uses the new Windows Terminal application which one previously needed to install through the App Store. I've used the new Terminal for years this way and really like it, so there's no issue with that and I knew what switching the default host for console applications imlied.
However, there is *one* console application that I'd like to open in the "old" terminal host (CMD, basically). The reason is that it shares a crucial keyboard shortcut with the (no longer new) Terminal, which is CTRL+TAB and neither can be configured to use another keyboard shortcut. Well, I guess the Terminal can, I haven't researched that, but it would be *global* setting of the Terminal, which I do not want to change.
I'm using a desktop shortcut to open that console application and there is a setting called "Use legacy console". However, if I understand the linked [MS documentation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/console/legacymode) correctly, that is a system-wide setting, which again, I do not want as I like and use the Terminal for years now.
Any ideas if exempting a particular console application from the global terminal setting is possible?
