PQ asks. Why don't more people play Castilla?

I think WG does a good job, and makes a pretty good product much of the time, which is why I play this game and have fun doing so. (Not sorry. But if it makes you mad finish reading first.)

But I blame them for this one. Their dumb early access means you are basically forced into, or locked out of these new lines. Which is why folks haven't really taken to any of them. Also they have added too many total new ships too fast for the community to absorb them into the meta.

Especially since WG slaughtered their CC community drove off people who had created millions of dollars worth of content for them for free, thereby damaging their brand and costing themselves a ton of money. I'm not mad at the CCs who are contributing right now, nor am I denigrating their content. I'm merely saying WG angered and drove away a large, dedicated and talented group of people out of incompetence/malice/wtever.

I wish I had ground the line ship by ship. That's what I'm going to do with the new cruiser line.

Castilla seems pretty great to me, burst fire on 10" guns? Woof! And the armor's better than on the T9, which no one has played more than 250 games in on NA. And the Andalucia doesn't seem to be a bad ship really, other than not having any armor. Which is not unique among T9 cruisers with big guns. (Azuma.)

I do want to be clear.

28 games in Canarias, 18 games in Castilla, 11 in Andalucia, and 64 in Alvaro de Bazan. That's all the Spanish ships I've played in random battles.

Although I've played hundreds of matches of ops and brawls and whatnot with Canarias and Alvaro, and I've dabbled with the tech tree ships in those modes as well.

As a result I do have a 21 point spanish captain, although I didn't put him on Castilla yet, but I have the sort of commander XP and bonus stuff that I've played all those ships with at least a 10 point commander, and most of the games were in early access with the 21 point commander on board. (Even if the build isn't ideal exactly.)

I wonder if that's part of the reason for the delay? Commander XP is a tough grind, not many people in the playerbase have a dozen 21 point commanders or whatever you or I have in inventory.

Also, also, I just noticed that I've won 66% of my last 79 games. Which is not actually relevant. But it makes me happy. And it shows that while I'm somewhere between bad and average overall, there are a few ships that I know how to play, also it includes like 5 really good games I had in losses that were SO close that it's the sort of thing that makes this game fun.

Also I've been winning, a lot. So I'm overly optimistic and positive about the game and WG at the moment, check back after I've lost 11 in a row.

Thx for reading this far if you did.

Thanks in advance for replies, comments and hate mail.

Any mistakes are not actually mistakes, but inconsistencies in the space-time continuum between your world and the one I live in.
