Post planing advice

I wish I had found this sub about two weeks ago but here we are.

I planted this red maple (October Glory). The root flare is above the line and the mulch is being kept away from the trunk. The hole is the 6’ across and that’s about one bag of mulch on top.

Do you recommend I do anything here at this point?

I’m assuming I shouldn’t prune until next winter or there about but if you see anything that looks actionable let me know. In the mean time I’m reading Pruning and Training.

The big concerns I have with pruning is to mange the bottom of the tree so that when it’s larger the crown is well above the sidewalk and street and so that big heavy branches are in a good spot. It’s 25 ft from the house and sidewalk so it would be a miracle if it’s out over those but I’ll want to work on getting good scaffolding up front.
