How is Weston and Lawrence

I currently live in the suburbs with parents and thinking of getting a place of my own. Looked a couple places and found one that is good near Weston and Lawrence. There is lot of bad reputation for Jane and finch but what I’ve been seeing is that Weston and Lawrence is up and coming. Do you think it’s worth getting a place there?
