Guys ... I might be getting older ... The more i rewatch and older i get, the more i agree with Chuck ...
i just ... see more and more although we all love Jimmy and Chuck is universal asshole, he was mostly right about Jimmy.
Yes Chuck never gave him proper chance, always waiting in the shadows, not letting grudges of the past behind and keep them to make sure his brother never reaches the potential.
but he was right that Jimmy still has the slippin Jimmy inside him. We start the show by bassically him trying ro scam someone. He even puts up a show for cameras and instead for looking his own identity, he always tried to bank on success of his brother and to take jab at HHM.
The older i get the more i see i would stay hell away from both of them as they are both assholes in their own regards.
Jimmy is kinda worse in that regards he does not mind to lie to get what he wants. He sees the fabric of system and does not worry to abuse it as much as he can. Chuck while he always hated his little brother, he been scheeming as well and ocassionally lie, but he kinda did it within a limits of law at least.
Do you think Jimmy would be sucessfull if he got hired into HHM and stoped cutting corners? I personally do not think so. If Charless was not an ass and guided him, mentor him, maybe? But we seen he tried to give it a shot with Davis & Main and we saw how recklesly he went behind his boses just to do a commerical.
Jimmy always wanted to be part of a team and bigger picture, until he found out he is better on his own doing things with all means necessary to succed without worrying about consequences if things go south. amd he was REALLY good at that. But this was not how profesional should work.
If Jimmy just used his charisma which was universal levels above Chucks, he could be much better lawyer and do it right.
