$3000 gaming PC with VR capabilities

>**What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.**

Gaming, some work related stuff using excel, python, R, and vba. But mostly gaming, and I would like to get into vr as well. Rocket league is my current obsession so it definitely needs to be able to play that at max capacity.

>**What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?**

$3000 max I would say, but I could be convinced to spend a little more for something worthwhile. I’ve been saving for quite sometime, I never buy anything for myself. I definitely wanna go all out.

>**When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.**

I definitely want to start buying/building the pc within a month. Maybe less.

>**What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc\)**

I need everything except a 4K monitor. I’ll need another monitor to game at a minimum 144hz for rocket league at least.

>**Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?**

I’m in Dallas Texas. I do not have access to a microcenter I don’t believe?

>**If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.**

I have a asus vp28uqg 4K monitor 60hz I use for my Xbox one x currently. I should be able to use it for my PC as well right?

>**Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?**

Honestly I’m not sure. I know what overclocking is and I would like the option to do so, but I don’t know enough about it to give a definitive answer to this.

>**Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)**

I want it to be VR capable, but I don’t necessarily need to get the equipment for VR right away.

>**Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?**

No preference I guess? But I like Star Wars a lot and a window would be cool I guess? Nothing is a dealbreaker here.

>**Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?**

Yes I need windows. I guess windows 8?

>**Extra info or particulars:**

I just want to be able to play rocket league for now but I want to play basically any game that I want or that comes out in the near future. My girlfriend isn’t really a big gamer, but she’s expressed some interest in VR and I thought it could be something we share in the future.
