Is Battle of Algiers relevant in 2026?

I found it interesting the other day in a sub about films to read Paul Thomas Anderson’s *One Battle After Another* being perceived by some as “too woke” for their palate. Personally, I loved the movie. I also found an easter egg that was quite funny, where “Bob” played by Leo DiCaprio is watching *The Battle of Algiers* and made me wonder, given the political climate we live in, if some people would consider Pontecorvo’s gem “too woke” for them?

I feel this movie holds true today more so than the decades past us, should it be screened everywhere now? I would like to read your thoughts and opinions. Please be respectful, my aim is not to stir controversy I just want to hear your personal thoughts on the movie.
