Feeling very sad after visiting the "New HiTech" store in NYC.
Thought I'd check out this place at 47 Canal St on the Lower East Side. Tv's just stacked haphazardly with visible stress on the case of the super fine pitch SONY on the bottom there. I told the owner that these plastic cases weren't really meant for that much weight and he literally laughed at me and said "We don't care. We've been around long time."
Also, there are absolutely zero prices marked so you have to ask about each individual thing you might be interested in. He wanted $900 for a Panasonic AG-500R, $600 for the SFP, $480 for a white case 9-in Trinitron, $280 for the white case 13-in Panasonic, $40 for a cheap Amazon HDMI to RCA adapter.
Not to mention feeding rf to HD tubes, which looks awful. I didn't photograph it but there was a stack of tubes on the other window that were all feeding off the same live-feed camera, so passerbys could take a cute selfie from the outside. Holy potential burn in.
Anyway, thanks for listening, these are the people we're dealing with who have no respect for anyone else
