I’m mad. Would you be?
So we took our 5yo girl and her 8yo cousin to see a play today. There was a couple and their girl, maybe 3-5, who just wouldn’t sit still. They were with a group of people beside them. They got up several times. My wife found out from overhearing that the girl had the stomach virus and the parents didn’t want to lose the tickets ($75 max) so they dragged the kid out to see the play. They ended up leaving 45 minutes before the end cause the poor kid was feeling miserable.
THEN at intermission I took the girls to the bathroom where we saw 2 other girls vomiting in the stairwell. The ushers were confused when I told them because they thought it was happening downstairs…because it was.
I get if the kid suddenly gets sick there. You can’t help it. But to willingly drag your known sick kid to a crowded and long event that requires silence and sitting seems utterly shameful and borderline abusive.
Just had to vent I guess. Some parents aren’t too with it.
